KIDZ AGAINST HUNGER KIWANIS ONE DAY - SERVICE - APRIL 2

Hello Food For Kidz Club Reps

Please pass this great news on to your clubs this week.  

To date we have monetary donations from clubs and community members totalling $16,333.40!!!  I would project the final total to be close if not surpassing $17,000!!!!  which means we could be packing anywhere from 108-113 plus thousand meals on Saturday.  We have received word that food is being shipped to Japan so at least some of what we do will help the people of that devastated country.

We have Kiwanians from all 9 area clubs (5 Rochester,Winona, Spring Valley, Lake City and Stewartville) , Winona Circle K, Stewartville and Kingsland Key Clubs, and Stewartville Builders Clubs, Lake City Aktion Club coming to help -- 150 strong -- making up about 1/2 of our just over 300 volunteers!!!!  It's a real Kiwanis Family event!!!

Thank you all for the great response to this Kiwanis One Day Event.  We are looking forward to a great day on Saturday.

A reminder NOT to park in the first two public parking rows(the one against the building and the next row)  in the lot behind the Civic Center -- the other two rows are open -- there is ample street parking and public lots in front of the Civic Center - please don't park in the 30 minute parking spots though - behind Sammy's restaurant, behind the Country Store, behind the Family Dollar store there is a lot of public parking - you can just walk the alley over to the Civic Center.  You can also park in the lots surrounding City Hall (take a left at the stoplights - City Hall is on your left).  There is ample room - Carpooling is a good idea if you can swing it.
